Journal Entry 8.5 - Juiciness


Date: 5. 5 2024

I forgot to write about what I implemented in the Breakout-base-with-DOTween. During the labs I managed to implement changing colours and camera shake. Later I implemented all the sounds, particles of exploding bricks. The small "original" improvements I did were a score counter and random words showing on the screen when words are destroyed such as "Amazing", "Incredible" etc. :D I also created a function where you can spawn multiple balls. You can buy a new ball for 1000 score points, the points will then be reduced. I think I made the game much more juicy and I'm quite happy with the result. I think it was a great demonstration how juiciness can improve the overall look of the game. The most interesting and hardest part were the creation of particles because it was the first time I worked with particles.
